Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Will the tfee be accepting applications for single teacher grants?
At this time, the TFEE is only accepting applications for multi-teacher grants.
Do Teachers have to plan a joint activity to qualify for a multi-teacher grant?
No. While joint activities would certainly qualify to apply for a multi-teacher grant, they are not the only way to qualify. Teachers who teach the same or similar classes may apply together for materials that would be shared between them, or which would be of benefit to all teachers in the group. You could be in the same building, or different buildings. There are many ways to group together to qualify for a multi-teacher grant, so be creative! And if you have questions, please reach out to either Scott or Alison (contact info above).
How will I know if my grant has been awarded?
During the week of February 7, the TFEE will contact the teacher listed as the primary applicant to let them know the result of the application.
Any other tips or hints for me as i fill out our application?
The TFEE is looking for quality over quantity in these applications.
Keep in mind that while many of our grant readers are involved in education, some are not. Be sure to explain acronyms and any education-specific jargon that is used in the application. Do not assume that the person reading your application is a fellow educator.
Do not include links out to videos or other websites. Do your best to explain your project using just the grant application.
Grants must include a detailed cost breakdown of your project. Your grant application will not be considered without this breakdown.
