Their TFEE grant will allow this group to purchase equipment so that students can explore concepts related to waves, energy, sound, and light. Students will have the chance to design and refine sound-proofing solutions and will build cell phones that send messages between classmates.
We are excited to recognize the ways this teacher group is empowering students to connect learning to their world.

The primary focus of the Troy Foundation for Educational Excellence is supporting innovative programs within the classrooms. Each year teachers have the opportunity to submit grant applications for consideration by the TFEE. Through these grant awards teachers engage their students, enhance curriculum, and enrich their classroom environment while energizing both teachers and students.
Criteria on which grants are awarded include innovation, project goals and activities, budget, sustainability and recognition of TFEE support for their project. This year, the 2019-20 Grant Recipients will be honored and showcased during TSD Opening Day in August 2020. More information will be released about this special feature soon.
